What we collect
We may collect:
• name, contact details and message if you use the enquiry form, email or WhatsApp
• any information you choose to include about your eyes or treatment
• appointment details if you book through Circle Health Group
• basic website-use information if you accept analytics cookies
• technical information needed for the contact form (including Google reCAPTCHA)
Please do not send more medical detail than you need to in the first message. We will ask for what is required at consultation.
Why we use it
We use this information to:
• reply to enquiries and arrange appointments
• provide private ophthalmic care
• keep the website secure and working
• understand how the site is used, if you accept analytics cookies
We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Lawful basis
For contact details and appointment arrangements we rely on taking steps at your request and on our legitimate interest in running the practice.
If your message includes health information, we use it only to respond and, if you become a patient, to provide medical care. You can ask us not to use an enquiry further.
Who we share it with
Only where needed:
• the practice secretary and clinical team
• Circle Health Group / Candover Clinic if you book or are seen there
• GoDaddy, which hosts the website
• Google, for reCAPTCHA on the contact form
• your insurer, GP or optometrist, if you ask us to or if it is needed for your care
Providers may store data outside the UK. Where that happens we expect them to use an appropriate UK-approved safeguard.
How long we keep it
Enquiry messages that do not lead to care are kept only as long as needed to deal with them, then deleted.
If you become a patient, records are kept for the period required for medical records.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, a correction, deletion in some cases, or a restriction on how we use it.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We use:
• Essential cookies — needed for the site and to remember your cookie choice. These do not need consent.
• Optional analytics cookies — help us see how the site is used so we can improve it. These are used only if you click Accept.
